Beverly Hills MD Venox Anti-Aging Serum Reviews

Beverly Hills MD Venox Anti-Aging Serum is claimed to be a “powerful” anti-aging formula that can provide smoother, younger looking skin by minimizing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, while hydrating and giving skin a tighter, firmer look using a “blend of age-defying ingredients,” including:

  • SYN-AKE – A synthetic form of Temple Viper venom that’s claimed to inhibit muscle contractions and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Palmitoyl Peptides – Claimed to help promote collagen synthesis.
  • Gingko Biloba Extracts – Contains antioxidants that may protect against free radical damage and slow down the aging process.
  • Aloe Leaf Extract – Contains antioxidants to moisturize and firm skin.

In order to begin using Venox Anti-Aging Serum, the manufacturer recommends applying twice daily, one of which should be at night in order to provide maximum results. Simply clean and dry skin, and then apply using your fingertips in upward circular motions.

Like all Beverly Hills MD products, Venox Anti-Aging Serum is claimed to be doctor formulated and manufactured in the USA, and to be suitable for all skin types (note: this product should not be used around the eyes).

In your quest to look younger, you’ve probably encountered a variety of strange ingredients. But will applying the synthetic Temple Viper venom contained in Beverly Hills MD Venox work, and will the high price provide a solid value for your hard-earned money? Consider the following:

Is Beverly Hills MD Venox Clinically Proven?

Although the Beverly Hills MD Anti-Aging Serum itself is not clinically proven to work as advertised, what about its ingredients?

SYN-AKE is a manufactured by PentaPharm, and is a synthetic peptide that has a paralytic effect on muscles, thereby reducing their ability to contract and reveal fine lines and wrinkles on your face. And while the document link above claims that SYN-AKE resulted in “a higher efficacy for all tested parameters,” no additional information is available about the study itself, and it is not available for third-party review.

Although there’s no indication on the Venox Anti-Aging website indicating the type of palmitoyl peptide used in the serum, the most common form found in a wide variety of anti-aging products is Matrixyl 3000, which is manufactured by Sederma. Matrixyl 3000 is claimed to help promote collagen production and to reinforce skin’s support matrix in order to increase elasticity. Again, there are no third-party clinical studies that confirm this.

Finally, there is insufficient clinical evidence showing that ginkgo biloba or aloe vera can provide any kind of tangible anti-aging benefits, outside of moisturization.

In short, other than moisturization and perhaps a short-term paralytic effect on facial muscles, there appears to be insufficient evidence showing that any of the ingredients contained in Beverly Hills MD Venox Serum can provide effective anti-aging benefits.

Other Venom-Based Anti-Aging Products

In the world of anti-aging products, synthetic snake venom is an ingredient that has become increasingly popular as of late, and is included in a wide variety of products, including Auralux Snake Venom. However, just like with Venox, the vast majority of these products have little-to-no clinical evidence showing they work as advertised.

In fact, a quick search for “venom cream” in your favorite search engine will reveal hundreds of similar products; even ones that use bee venom.

What is Beverly Hills MD Venox’s Customers Reputation?

Venox is manufactured by Beverly Hills MD, who also makes their own Dark Spot Corrector. According to the company’s website, their snake venom serum has received an average rating of 5 stars with customers, although it’s curious to note that there doesn’t appear to be a way for consumers to submit their reviews to the company.

Outside of the company’s website, the only reviews we encountered for Venox Anti-Aging Serum were either through bloggers who received free product in exchange for a review, or through affiliates who posted fake customer review websites (see here as an example).

Here on HighYa, 27 readers have provided their feedback on Beverly Hills MD products (as of 3/3/15), giving them an average rating of 1.5 stars. Common complaints appear to reference failure to work as advertised and allergic reactions.

Granted, this may not be what you’ll experience with Venox Anti-Aging Serum, but it’s worth keeping in mind nonetheless.

Venox Anti-Aging Serum Pricing & Refund Policy

Venox Anti-Aging Serum is priced as follows:

1 Bottle: $149
2 Bottles: $268.20 ($134.10 per bottle)
3 Bottles: $379.95 ($126.25 per bottle)

Like all Beverly Hills MD products, Venox Anti-Aging Serum comes with a 60-day refund policy. In order to request a refund, you’ll need to contact customer service at 877-828-5528.

Will Beverly Hills MD Venox Help You Look Younger?

Chopping to the point: While the SYN-AKE contained in Beverly Hills MD Venox might temporarily paralyze your facial muscles (similar to a topical version of Botox), the primary function of the ingredients it contains appears to be related to moisturization. As such, unless your skin is excessively dry, Venox Anti-Aging Serum’s very high price may not be in line with any benefits you can realistically expect to achieve from using it.

However, if you do decide to give the serum a try, you can always take advantage of the company’s 60-day refund policy, although you’ll be out S&H costs.
